We want to walk with you as you navigate the world of parenting!
Hello Incredible Parent!
Do you often freeze or feel embarrassed as you observe your child screaming and tantruming down the aisle at the grocery store? Are you overcome with guilt and frustration over how to respond when your child has a hard time saying goodbye before school? Are you overwhelmed with calls you have been receiving from school about your child’s behavior? Your feelings, concerns and experiences are valid! And you are not alone!
While our children’s emotions and behaviors ebb and flow as they mature and develop, it can often feel challenging to know when and how to respond. I believe in connecting with children and families over what matters most to them while honoring their unique experiences, background, strengths, and challenges. I strive to partner with families to create a plan that is as unique as they are, while helping to grow and nourish a skillset informed by research. I make it a priority to consistently check in on progress and to connect with the communities surrounding a family, including their school or classroom teacher, to make sure growth is happening in the spaces our children occupy.
Hi there!
I am Dr. Sandra Mikhail, a California licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY32620). I am passionate about mental health and take pride in providing therapy to children and families. As a psychologist and mother, I empathize and celebrate the joys and challenges of parenting and am motivated to help families nourish the relationships they desire with their children.
In my work, I lean heavily on research to promote change while pulling in fun and exciting activities to help make complex concepts more approachable for children. I love incorporating families every step of the way, as early as goal setting to progress tracking and graduation planning. I align with each family’s values and unique needs to make sure treatment feels tangible and relevant. I strive to pull in other relevant members, including teachers and medical providers (as needed), to ensure you and your child succeed.
